Blackpool sands lies on Start Bay, on the road from Dartmouth to Slapton Sands, between the villages of Stoke Fleming and Strete. A sheltered cove of sand and shingle flanked by steep cliffs with rising fields and woods behind. It is a privately owned with a charge made for its use during the tourist season but has good facilities.
