River Walkham, Dartmoor

The source of the River Walkham is on the high northern moors of Dartmoor, amongst an isolated boggy area which is also the source of the River Cowsic, the South Tavy and the West Dart. To the north east of the source lies Fur Tor, the most remote and perhaps the most impressive of the Dartmoor tors. It heads south past the mighty Great Mis Tor before flowing under the bridge and Merrivale, heading past Vixen Tor and King's Tor, then under the bridge at Huckworthy towards and through Horrabridge, passing under Bedford Bridge before joining the River Tavy at Double Waters.
